Bear Creek/Midpines Park CLEANUP

According to artists Anna Friedland and Abby Miller, “Gather and Protect” or in Southern Sierra Miwuk “Huṭṭamehnəthoy ho’’ay ‘Okōoyuthoy“ celebrates our local flora and fauna and acknowledge that the way forward for our community involves collaboration, mutual respect, and reverence for all who live here and contribute to the stewardship of this incredible place. This piece is a part of the Working Lands, Working Artists project from Mariposa County and the Mariposa Arts Council, funded by an NEA Our Town grant.

As part of the dedication of the new public artwork at the Midpines Community Hall, we are proud to sponsor a cleanup effort of Bear Creek and the Midpines Park on Saturday, June 15th beginning at 8am. A light lunch will be provided for volunteers.

Come out for a morning of stewardship and celebration of this beautiful community artwork!

We will provide
